Event Details

We are very excited to welcome you to our jazz festival! There will be food trucks, a Music Lab with the Lexington Philharmonic, a jazz concert series, and a special event with Frank X Walker!

1 PM Kirby Davis (Tenor Saxophone)
2 PM Mary Jackson (Vocalist)

12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Community Q Food Truck (Library Parking Lot)

4:00 PM Jazz Meets Poetry: Frank X Walker and the Keith McCutchen Quartet (River Room)

Former Poet Laureate of Kentucky and U of K Professor of English, Frank X Walker reads from his oeuvre of poetry, including his collections: Affrilachia, Black Box and Isaac Murphy: I Dedicate This Ride with orchestrations from the Keith McCutchen Quartet (Keith McCutchen, Piano, Dave Clark, Alto Saxophone, Marlin McKay, Trumpet).
