Library Closed through Thursday, April 17

The Library will be closed through Thursday, April 17, as far as we can predict right now. Our meter base was underwater, which means that it has to be replaced then inspected. Finding a replacement has been challenging, but our electrical contractor, AE Electric, has located one for us. Once we get power restored, we'll be able to make needed repairs to our elevators and our fire suppression system.

Until we have power, we have to remain closed. We are so sorry - we want to get our community back into the library, checking out books, attending programs, and playing in the children's area. Thank you for your concern for us, your strong support, and your patience as we work to get everything functioning again.

Program Description

Event Details

Join us as we celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with We Sing One Song, a reflection on Frank X Walker's legacy of Kentucky poetry as it intersects with jazz. Walker will take the stage alongside hip-hop opera to folk diva Sistah La La, anchored by the harmonic textures of pianist/composer Dr. Keith McCutchen. The evening will also include an open mic session featuring Kentucky State University faculty and students.

Sponsored by K-JAM Collective, Kentucky State University, McCutchen Music, and PSPL.
