This highly informative documentary discusses how millions of tons of food are routinely wasted every year and what certain chefs, entrepreneurs, and activists are doing to prevent it. Features interviews with celebrity chefs and food scientists.

No registration necessary. Wasted! is available for viewing via the library’s free streaming service, Kanopy. To access the film, go to the PSPL home page (www.pspl.org), click on the Ebooks & More tab, and then click on the Kanopy image. If you are a first-time Kanopy user, you will need to create an account using a valid email address, a password of your choosing, and your 12-digit library card number.
Once you have a Kanopy account, log in to Kanopy, and search for “Wasted: The Story of Food Waste” in the search bar at the top of the page. It should be the first result from studio Neon.
For individuals having trouble accessing Kanopy, the library has a limited number of DVDs available for pick-up (first come, first served).
